Group risk among HR Directors/IFAs
A leading group protection provider wanted to ascertain the needs and requirements for group risk policies among HR Directors, Scheme Administrators and Employee Benefits Consultants (a specialised type of IFA), as well as evaluate perceptions of the client’s brand and the competition. It wanted to ensure that group risk e.g. life cover still had value to both employers and employees alike.
A 2-stage project of individual depth interviews to understand needs and perceptions of c30 F2F interviews with decision makers in mid-large sizes corporates followed by a quantitative stage of 100+ telephone interviews to measure appetite for a new variant on the group risk model
Interviews covered both existing clients and prospects.
Recruitment of hard to reach and time pressed decision makers was the major challenge and securing their co-operation.
The insights were presented back and significant product development ensued. Menu based employee benefits have now become the norm in many mid-large sized employers.
