FWD Research is led by Ian Winters, Mike Harmer and Sian Kerr. Between them they have amassed over 50 years as financial services research consultants, giving them unrivalled knowledge and experience in delivering research solutions to the industry.

Ian Winters, Director and Head of Research

Ian has worked for MORI, Prudential General Insurance Division and The Financial Marketing Consultancy. He established and ran Insurance Research & Strategy (IRS) for 12 years until it was acquired by FWD in 2004. Ian has an honours degree in Business Studies and is a full member of the MRS and a member of ESOMAR.

Mike Harmer, Director, Research

Mike specialises in helping organisations use research to create business benefits. He has worked for both the insurance and consultancy sectors so understands how to develop research solutions and implement the findings to create change and improvement.

Sian Kerr, Director, Research

Sian has worked in the financial services division for a number of research agencies including Research International and ORC International. Sian specialises in researching the wealth management and investment sectors both from a intermediary and direct perspective.
